MyGully
Vibe-coded local waste reporting.
About MyGully
MyGully is a community-driven application designed to improve urban sanitation by allowing residents to report street waste, clogged drains, and illegal dumping directly to local authorities using AI-enhanced photo reporting. As a "vibe-coded" project—often built through natural language programming on platforms like Bolt or Lovable—the tool simplifies the reporting process by automatically tagging the type of waste and its GPS location from a single photo. The goal is to bridge the communication gap between citizens and fragmented municipal waste management systems, particularly in dense urban environments where "gullies" (alleys and drains) are prone to blockages. By providing a transparent public record of reported issues, MyGully encourages local governments to be more responsive and helps community groups organize targeted cleanup drives. While many versions exist as open-source prototypes for specific cities, the tool's core mission is to democratize urban maintenance and foster a sense of collective ownership over public cleanliness. It represents a new wave of civic tech that prioritizes user accessibility and rapid deployment for social good.
