Project Guideline
AI to help blind runners navigate solo.
About Project Guideline
A Google Research project that uses on-device AI to enable people who are blind or low-vision to run independently. A smartphone worn on the runner's waist uses a machine learning model to detect a painted line on the ground. It provides real-time audio cues through bone-conduction headphones to guide the runner along the path without a sighted guide.
